Stuart Coleman · Assistant National Director
Stuart has been Assistant National Director of Sports Chaplaincy Scotland since 2023. A former professional player at Clyde FC, Stuart became chaplain of the club in 2011 before becoming chaplain at Cumbernauld Colts FC in 2016. After a spell as Pastoral Director of the Lowland Football League between 2019 - 2023, Mark recognised his potential to eventually take over from him as National Director at some point in the future.

Rebecca is our recently appointed Sports Chaplaincy Scotland Administrator and Pastoral Director for our Female chaplains. She has been chaplain with Skye Camanachd Women since 2020.

James Stout has been chaplain at Dunbar United FC since 2021, having previously been chaplain at Whitehill Welfare FC between 2016 - 2021.

Sean has been chaplain at Glenurquart Shinty Club since 2021. Next to football, shinty has seen the greatest growth in terms of sport chaplaincy appointments.

Originally from Texas, Brandon moved to Scotland in 2008 and has been with Caledonia Gladiators (formerly Glasgow Rocks) since 2019, having previously been a chaplain at Albion Rovers FC between 2015 - 2018.

Sports Chaplaincy Scotland Ambassador · Ray Montgomerie
Ray Montgomerie is a former professional footballer and Kilmarnock legend, best known for captaining the club to their historic Scottish Cup win in 1997, and now serves as Club Ambassador at Kilmarnock FC. Beyond his playing career, Ray played a pivotal role in the early development of sports chaplaincy in Scottish football, helping open doors for the first chaplaincy appointments at club level. Having personally experienced the value of chaplaincy, he strongly believes in its role in supporting the mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of players and staff. He is honoured to serve as the first-ever Ambassador for Sports Chaplaincy Scotland.
