Alan Robinson

THE spread of Sports Chaplaincy has been one of the most pronounced developments in local sport for some time.

Alan Robinson began his contact with Sports Chaplaincy UK in August 2018 whilst involved with Comber Star and was only the second person to hold such a position within the Down Area Winter Football League.

His role has now been transferred to Newtownards RBL.

Alan, who has just completed six years in the position, explains: "The role compliments my mental health lead role at both clubs as I lend support to club members as and when needed, just effectively being a listening ear and signposting them to appropriate help and support."
